In the last couple months, I've been struck by how many encouragements and calls to action the Lord has sent me that have related to my filmmaking calling and dreams -- during my quiet time, over the radio, from friends, and also during the Christian Worldview Filmmaker's Guild and Festival this March.
(The synergy and one-ness of mind and spirit between all the speakers at the CWVFF this year was powerful; so obviously fueled, guided, and overflowing with the Spirit of God. It was wonderful -- but that is a subject for another time... I don't think I could make it fit here...)
Anyway, I wanted to share some of the inspirations from these last months with you, in case they might encourage you in some way. :) Enjoy!
And the Lord answered me, "Write the vision; make it plain on tablets, so he may run [from destruction] who reads it."
Look among the nations, and see; wonder and be astounded. For I am doing a work in your days that you would not believe if told.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.
"I hear Your voice, whispering my name. It's like a wave of understanding, and I never could have planned it, where the questions and doubts all fade away. ...All that I've ever needed to know was in Your eyes.
...And I don't know which way the wind will blow— but You're here with me, and that's all I need to know."
...But you shall hold fast to the Lord your God, as you have done to this day.
For the Lord has driven out from before you great and strong nations; But as for you, no one has been able to stand against you to this day.
One man of you shall chase a thousand, for the Lord your God is He who fights for you, as He promised you.
Let us lay aside every encumbrance ... and run with endurance the race set before us, looking to Jesus...

We live by the light of every story we've ever read.
"Excellence is not perfection.
...If you shine an apple too long, it turns into applesauce."
...If you utter what is precious, and not what is worthless, you shall be as My mouth [says the Lord]. They shall turn to you [to learn wisdom], but you shall not turn to them.
They will make war on the Lamb, and the Lamb will conquer them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings, and those with Him are called and chosen and faithful.
"May they know we are Christians by our love. And may the Gospel be contagious wherever we go."

Do not fear or be dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours but God's.
