Favorite Illustrator

Hands down, Kinuko Y. Craft (also known as K.Y. Craft) is my favorite illustrator.  Her work is a stunning combination of very realistic,  extremely detailed, and eye-catching-ly artistic. (look at me, making up a new word :P )   Enjoy some clips from several of her illustrated books:

In a couple books, she does things like putting colorful moths and bright green and blue beetles on every page, (as in King Midas) or birds and tiny butterflies. (as in Cinderella)  And I love all the peacocks and exotic birds she adds on occasion!  ;)
